1. Data collected
ConverteJá collects the following data while you use the service:
- IP address: To enforce conversion limits (free plan: 3/day) and prevent abuse.
- Conversion type and file size: For anonymous aggregate statistics.
- Access logs: Date, time, and request type — retained for up to 7 days.
- Theme preference (localStorage): Stored locally in your browser, never sent to the server.
We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable data without your explicit consent.
2. How we use your data
The data we collect is used exclusively to:
- Process the requested conversions
- Enforce free plan limits per IP
- Detect and prevent abusive or automated use
- Improve the performance and stability of the service
- Statistical purposes (aggregated, anonymized data)
3. Your files
During processing:
- Files are temporarily stored on disk with a random name (UUID)
- Only the conversion process accesses the file's content
- No human staff member accesses your documents
- Files are never indexed, analyzed, or used to train models
4. Cookies and local storage
We use the following browser storage technologies:
- Technical cookie (converteja_did): an anonymous device identifier used to enforce free-plan limits and prevent abuse. Valid for 1 year, contains no personal data, and doesn't require consent — it's essential for the service to work.
- localStorage: theme preference (light/dark), language and, if you have an account, your session token. None of this is sent to third parties.
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense): only loaded if you accept them in our cookie preferences (see below). Without this consent, no third-party cookie is set.

5. Advertising
ConverteJá shows ads to free plan users through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to personalize ads based on your browsing history.
The AdSense script only loads after you allow advertising cookies in our cookie preferences — before that, no Google ad is shown.
You can control ad personalization at: adssettings.google.com
Premium users never see any ads.
6. Sharing with third parties
We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Infrastructure providers (server hosting) — bound by confidentiality agreements
- Google AdSense — browsing data for advertising purposes (free users)
- Legal authorities — only under court order
7. Your rights (LGPD)
Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018), you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your data
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of incomplete or incorrect data
- Request deletion of unnecessary data
- Withdraw consent at any time

We use technical measures to protect your data:
- Encrypted connections via HTTPS/TLS
- Random file names (UUID) to prevent unauthorized access
- Automatic cleanup of temporary files
- HTTP security headers (Helmet)
