Fill PDF forms online: no printing and scanning
Many official forms come as PDFs with fillable fields (AcroForms): text boxes, checkboxes and drop-down lists. Instead of printing, filling in with a pen and scanning, you complete everything on screen and download the finished file.
If the PDF has no fields, it still shows up on screen: you can automatically detect blank lines and boxes or draw fields wherever you need them (text, checkbox, radio button and drop-down list). The downloaded file comes out with real fillable fields that open in any PDF reader.
If you prefer, you can lock the result to prevent further edits before sending the document.

When to use this tool
- Filling in applications, registration sheets and declarations.
- Completing enrollment forms, requests and orders.
- Turning a scanned or printed form into a PDF with typeable fields.
- Sending already completed, locked documents to agencies and companies.
- Reusing a base form by filling in each person’s details.
Tips for a good result
- Automatic detection looks for lines to write on, empty boxes and small checkboxes. Review the result: drag, resize or delete anything that does not make sense.
- For several radio buttons answering the same question, create them all in the same group so only one can be selected.
- Lock the form only in its final version, because afterwards the fields can no longer be edited.
- Double-check dates and numbers before downloading; forms sent to agencies usually do not accept corrections.
Frequently asked questions
What is a fillable form?
It is a PDF created with interactive fields, such as text boxes and checkboxes. You can tell because the cursor changes when you hover over the fields.
What does locking edits mean?
It is flattening the form: the values become a fixed part of the page, and nobody can change them afterwards.
My PDF has no fields. What now?
It opens normally. Use automatic detection to turn blank lines and boxes into fields, or draw fields wherever you want. To simply write loose text on the page, the Edit PDF tool works too.
Do the fields I create stay fillable after downloading?
Yes, unless you check the flatten option. Without it, the file comes out with real fields that can be filled in again in any PDF reader.
What are the limits of the free plan?
The free plan allows 10 conversions per day, with files up to 60 MB and no sign-up required. The Premium plan removes the daily limit and the ads.
